Technical Difficulties » mp3 player http://greensoftware.net/blog Solving my problems Fri, 23 Mar 2012 11:01:05 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.3.1 Creative Zen Vision M http://greensoftware.net/blog/2007/08/12/creative-zen-vision-m/ http://greensoftware.net/blog/2007/08/12/creative-zen-vision-m/#comments Sun, 12 Aug 2007 13:17:01 +0000 digitalSurgeon http://greensoftware.net/blog/?p=5 I bought a Create Zen Vision M 30 GB last week, though I had been thinking about buying a mp3 player for quite a while, it wasnt until I compared the prices of Apple Ipod and Zen that I decided to buy a Zen, the experience so far has been really good, I like the crisp display, the videos are sharp and I was actually able to see a movie on it while commuting to work and back, the interface requires getting a bit used to it but after that its pretty easy.

 The two things that I didnt like about this player were

  1. The proprietry interface, I guess creative wants to sell accessories for Zen so they decided to have a proprietry connector, though a mini usb connection would have just rocked, my qtek, my camera both use mini usb, that would have saved me some pain. Zen can act as a USB drive as well, but then you have to carry the connector with you, which I dont want too.
  2. The headphones that come with it are just so so, not that good but then I guess its the same with all the players out there.

Other then that its feels solid in hand, has a FM radio which is a big plus, although its not the best looking but it gets the job more then done, CNet gave it a good rating too.
